Meeting/Event Information

All facilities have unique challenges...but none quite like those of Indy's most dynamic attraction, The Children's Museum of Indianapolis! From its on-site paleontology fossil prep lab, to the priceless glass sculpture with its own cleaning crew, you won't want to miss this very special, behind-the-scenes tour.  We'll be hosted by the museum's VP of Operations along with its AVP Facility Operations and Production, who will show us some of the unusual features of this 490,000 sf building and 7.5 acre sports experience as part of the museum complex -- and discuss the challenges of running a facility with over 1.2 million visitors a year.

We'll learn more about the museum's use of CMMS data, it's facility assessment process, an upcoming security-technology review and plan, and how they employ a work-study student to help with asset management tracking.  We'll get to see where the exhibits are made, and visit the newest "Minecraft" exhibit opening March 11th.
